Curt Littau

I attended Missouri Auction School back in the Spring of 1990 after receiving my college degree from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota in December 1989 to become a teacher and coach.
The Fall of 1991 I began teaching and spent next 16 years teaching, coaching, ranching, and raising my family of five children. In the meantime, I helped with the occasional benefit auction, wedding dance garter sale, or one of the professional auctioneers in the area with one of their sales.
In 2006, I took a job as a field rep and cattle-sorter at a local livestock auction, and on occasion would have the opportunity to sell weigh-up cows. In 2011, we started “Littau Auctions” and I helped some of the area, local sale barns, and started to compete in some of the calling contests in the state.
In 2016, I passed my Real Estate Exams and began working as an associate broker and auctioneer in Winner, SD
Recently, I completed my second term as a Tripp County Commissioner and have served on the State 911 Coordination Board and District III Planning and Development Executive Board. I have auctioneered in Ft. Pierre Livestock, Presho Livestock, and Winner Livestock, all in South Dakota, and have competed in the Turner County Fair, Black Hills Stock Show, SD State bid calling contest, and at the Huron Continental Market.
I am currently the responsible broker and auctioneer at LOCK Realty & Auctions, LLC. I referee several high school sporting events, and I am currently the president of the South Dakota Auctioneer Association.

Hello! I am Melody Kahle Wenz. I attended K-12 school in Letcher, South Dakota where I grew up riding horses, playing basketball, reading, swimming and helping my parents on the farm.
After graduating high school, I attended Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Post college, I began my career as a speech and language pathologist in the Britton School District in Britton, South Dakota. While working, I earned my Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Vermillion in 2011.
I have a great family: two sons, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and a beautiful bonus family with my fiancé, Curt.
Curt and I decided to open our own realty business, and I am currently a partner with Curt at Lock Realty & Auctions. We look forward to doing business with you!
